How Can I Check the Status of My Return?

1. Tracking Your Return Shipment

  • Republic of Ireland: If you returned your item via An Post, you can track your return using the tracking number provided when you scheduled the return through An Post Returns.
  • Northern Ireland: If you returned your item via DPD, you can monitor the progress of your return using the tracking number from DPD Returns.
  • Outside the Island of Ireland: For returns from outside Ireland, please ensure you retain proof of postage and tracking details from your chosen carrier, as you will be responsible for monitoring the return’s status.

Please note: We are only able to check the status of your return once it has been received and processed in our system. You will receive an email notification once this occurs.

2. Processing Time for Returns

Once your return has been received at our warehouse, please allow up to 14 days for processing. We will send you a confirmation email once your return has been processed, and the refund has been issued.

3. Receiving Updates

  • Confirmation Email: You will receive an email from us once we have received and processed your return. This confirmation will include details of the refund or credit issued.
  • Customer Service Assistance: If you have not received an update within 14 days of returning your item, please contact our Customer Service team. They can provide further assistance in tracking and confirming the status of your return.

4. Important Reminders

  • Proof of Postage: Always retain proof of postage and tracking details until your return is fully processed. This ensures that you have a record of the return in case further verification is required.
  • Return Delays: Please be aware that returns may take longer to process during peak shopping seasons or due to high return volumes.
  • To ensure a smooth return process, please carefully follow these guidelines:

    • Labelling: Make sure the return label is securely attached to the package and clearly visible. Verify that all shipping information is accurate to avoid any delays.
    • Secure Packaging: Package the items securely in their original packaging, if possible, to prevent any damage during transit. Proper packaging is essential to protect your items and ensure they reach us in saleable condition.
    • Responsibility for Shipment: You are responsible for the safe return of your items until they are successfully received by Brown Thomas Arnotts. We advise obtaining proof of postage and a tracking number from your carrier to provide evidence of your return.
