How long will it take to get my refund?

Once we’ve received and processed your return, we’ll issue your refund to the original payment method. While we aim to complete this quickly, processing times can vary slightly depending on how your return was made and your bank’s timelines.


Standard Refund Timelines

  • Returns via An Post or DPD: It may take up to 14 days for your parcel to reach us, depending on your chosen return method.

  • Returns in-store: These are typically processed faster once received by our returns team.

Once your return is received:

  • Please allow 5–7 business days for the refund to appear in your account.

  • You’ll receive a refund confirmation email as soon as the process is completed.


Gift Cards and Split Payments

  • If you paid using a Brown Thomas gift card, your refund will be returned to the same card. Please keep your gift card until you’re sure you won’t return any items.

  • If you used a combination of payment methods (e.g. part gift card, part credit/debit card), each payment method will be refunded accordingly.


Delayed or Missing Refunds

If you haven’t seen the funds returned after 7 business days from your refund confirmation email:

  1. Check your bank account or card statement.

  2. Contact your bank or payment provider — some may take longer to release the funds.
