How do I use a Brown Thomas Gift Card in-store or online?

Brown Thomas Gift Cards offer a flexible way to shop both in-store and online. This article explains how to redeem your physical or eGift Card at Brown Thomas, Arnotts, or BT2 stores, or on our websites, ensuring a seamless experience.

Using your Gift Card in-store

  • Present your physical Gift Card or show your E-Gift Card email at any till point in Brown Thomas, Arnotts, or BT2.

  • Inform the cashier that you wish to pay with a Gift Card.

  • Any remaining balance will stay on the card for future use.

Using your Gift Card online

  • Add items to your basket on brownthomas.com or arnotts.ie.

  • At checkout, under 'Secure Payment', select 'Use a Gift Card'.

  • Enter your full Gift Card number.

    • For physical Gift Cards, scratch the panel on the back to reveal the final digits if required.

  • Confirm the balance and apply it to your purchase.

  • If the Gift Card does not cover the full amount, you may pay the remainder with another method.

Important to know

  • Brown Thomas Gift Cards are available in Euro and can be used in both Euro and GBP when shopping online.

  • There is no expiry date — your Gift Card balance will remain available until fully spent.

  • If a transaction fails after applying a Gift Card, the balance may be temporarily frozen for 24–36 hours for security. It will reset automatically.
