How do I arrange a postal return?

This article explains how to arrange a postal return for online purchases from Brown Thomas. You can either print your own label or request a label at the time of collection, depending on your preference.

Returning an order from the Republic of Ireland

To return your order via An Post:

1. Prepare your item

   • Complete the returns form included with your order.

   • Pack the item securely in its original packaging, if possible.

2. Create a return label

   • Visit An Post Returns.

   • Select 'Brown Thomas' under the retailer menu.
     (If returning an electrical item, select 'Brown Thomas Electrical.')

   • Choose whether to:

     • Print your own label and drop your parcel off at any An Post location; or

     • Schedule a home collection, where An Post will bring a label when they collect your parcel.

3. Complete your return

   • Ensure the label is securely attached.

   • Retain your proof of postage and tracking information until your refund has been processed.

Returning an order from Northern Ireland

To return your order via DPD:

1. Prepare your item

   • Complete the returns form included with your order.

   • Pack the item securely, preferably using the original packaging.

2. Create a return label

   • Visit DPD Returns.

   • Select 'Brown Thomas' or 'Brown Thomas Electrical' as appropriate.

   • Fill in your details and print your returns label.

3. Drop off your parcel

   • Present your parcel at your nearest DPD drop-off point.

   • Retain your tracking number for your records.

Important reminders

• Return fees:
  A return postage fee of €4.95 (Republic of Ireland) or £4.95 (Northern Ireland) applies, payable to the carrier. This fee is not deducted from your refund.

• Timeframes:
  It may take up to 14 days for your parcel to reach us and for your refund to be processed.

• Proof of postage:
  Always retain your proof of postage and tracking details until your return is confirmed.
