How do I check the status of my return?

How to track your return

  • Republic of Ireland (An Post returns): Use the tracking number provided when booking your return through the An Post Returns portal.

  • Northern Ireland (DPD returns): Track your parcel using the number from the DPD Returns portal.

  • Outside the island of Ireland: If you arranged your own courier, use their tracking service to follow your parcel.

Please note: Brown Thomas can only confirm your return status once it has been refunded, even if its marked as delivered please allow time for the order to be processed.


How long does it take to process?

  • Arrival and processing: Once your parcel arrives, please allow up to 7 days for inspection and processing during busy periods.

  • Refund confirmation: You will receive an email once your refund has been issued.

  • Bank processing time: After our confirmation, please allow 3–5 business days for funds to appear in your account, depending on your bank.
