Why isn’t my tracking link working yet?
If you’re asking “Why isn’t my tracking link working yet?” or see statuses such as “awaiting parcel” with no updates, this is usually a normal part of the delivery process. Your Brown Thomas order may already be prepared, but the courier has not yet scanned it into their system.
What “awaiting parcel” or no updates mean
If your tracking link shows:
“Awaiting parcel”
“We’ve received the details but not the package”
No movement or updates
It means:
Brown Thomas has processed your order and passed the details to the courier.
Your parcel is waiting to be collected or scanned into the courier’s network.
When tracking should start updating
Tracking updates usually appear 24–48 hours after dispatch.
The courier must scan your parcel at a collection or sorting centre before live updates show.
You may not see movement immediately after your shipping confirmation email — this does not mean your order is delayed.
Why there might be a delay
Common reasons for tracking delays include:
Courier scanning backlogs during busy periods
Weekend or bank holiday handovers
The parcel being in transit but not yet processed at the depot
What you can do while you wait
Keep checking your tracking link once a day — updates often appear overnight.
